A disturbing incident has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district, where the son of a well-known jewelry businessman allegedly assaulted a hotel staff member while reportedly under the influence of alcohol. The accused, identified as Aman Agarwal, was taken into custody after the victim—a receptionist at the hotel bar—filed a formal complaint.
CCTV footage of the incident, now widely circulating online, shows Aman Agarwal entering the hotel with two women. Appearing visibly intoxicated, he is seen interacting with the female receptionist. In a video shared by journalist Sachin Gupta, Aman is initially seen holding the receptionist’s hand and allegedly kissing her cheek as they converse.
Later, as the group moves toward the lift, the footage shows Aman stopping again to engage with the receptionist. Moments later, he is seen grabbing her hand and forcefully kissing her on the cheek, while the victim appears visibly uncomfortable and distressed.
According to media reports, the receptionist has lodged a complaint alleging inappropriate behaviour. Following this, police arrested Aman and took him into custody. Jhansi Police stated on X that officers from the Nawabad police station arrested the accused and presented him before the court, where legal proceedings were initiated under the relevant sections.
Details regarding the exact sections under which Aman Agarwal has been booked have not yet been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
