Central Nagpur witnessed massive traffic congestion on Sunday evening as crowds thronged Hanuman Nagar for Shreya Ghoshal’s live performance at the Khasdar Mahotsav. The event, held at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education—popularly known as Krida Square—drew thousands of enthusiastic fans hours before the concert began, overwhelming the area’s road network.
The heavy rush triggered long traffic jams across key junctions, including Medical Square, leaving commuters stranded for extended periods. Motorists complained that inadequate traffic planning and poor crowd management aggravated the situation, causing frustration among residents and visitors alike.
With the Khasdar Mahotsav attracting large audiences daily, Sunday’s disruption has prompted renewed calls for better traffic regulation around major event venues in the city.
