Nagpur: A 40-year-old man lost his life when a speeding truck collided with his motorcycle at Trimurti Nagar Square on Tuesday night. The deceased, identified as Kailas Uike of Subhash Nagar near Buddha Vihar, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The accident occurred at around 9.40 pm on November 19. Uike was riding his two-wheeler (MH 40 AJ 9714) when a Tata truck (MH 40 AK 5125) approached at high speed. Police said the truck driver was driving recklessly and dangerously when he rammed into the motorcycle, causing Uike to fall and sustain critical injuries. He was rushed to Medical Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Following a complaint filed by Police Constable Prabhakar Raut of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station, an offence was registered against the truck driver under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
