The sudden shaking, which continued for several seconds, caused interiors and windowpanes in several apartments to rattle, startling people across multiple neighbourhoods.
Shortly after the tremors, visuals flooded social media showing citizens assembling outside residential complexes, schools and commercial establishments. Many were seen standing in open spaces as a precaution while authorities began assessing the situation.
