Vidarbha’s strong presence in women’s cricket will once again be on display as eight players from the region have been listed in the TATA WPL 2026 auction lineup released on Friday. A total of 277 cricketers will compete for 73 slots when the auction takes place in New Delhi on November 27.
The Vidarbha players named in the list are Disha Kasat, Bharti Fulmali, Mona Meshram, Kanchan Nagwani, Komal Zanzad, Arya Gohane, Gargi Wankar and Latika Inamdar. Among them, Bharti Fulmali was the only Vidarbha representative in WPL 2025 and made a notable impact in her second season with the Gujarat Giants. Her brisk unbeaten 40 off 29 balls against Delhi Capitals and a strong performance against Mumbai Indians brought her into the spotlight. Bharti, who excelled as a finisher in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy with 176 runs at a strike rate of 157.14 and two Player of the Match awards, enters the auction with a base price of ₹30 lakh.
Vidarbha captain Disha Kasat—part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s title-winning squad in 2023—has been in excellent touch this season. She amassed 292 runs in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, including a top score of 88, and led Vidarbha into the Super League stage. Disha also guided the Orange Tigresses to victory in the inaugural Vidarbha Pro T20 League (VPTL), clinching the Orange Cap for scoring 141 runs with an unbeaten 88 as her highest score. Her base price is set at ₹10 lakh.
In-form batter Mona Meshram is another strong contender expected to draw interest from franchises. She scored 212 runs in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and delivered all-round performances for Nagpur Titans, who finished as runners-up in the VPTL. Mona’s base price stands at ₹30 lakh.
Left-arm pacer Komal Zanzad, who represented RCB in WPL 2023, also impressed in the VPTL by winning the Purple Cap with six wickets, including best figures of 4/17 and an economy rate of 4.19. She has been listed at a base price of ₹10 lakh.
Among the bowlers, Arya Gohane claimed nine wickets in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy at an economy of 4.75, while Gargi Wankar and Latika Inamdar also feature in the auction with base prices of ₹10 lakh each.
The overall auction list includes 194 Indian players—52 capped and 142 uncapped—vying for 50 slots. Additionally, 66 overseas capped players and 17 uncapped overseas players will compete for the remaining 23 spots.
With strong domestic performances and consistent progress, the Vidarbha contingent heads into the WPL 2026 auction with significant promise and expectations.
