A vibrant cultural spectacle will unfold on December 7 as Shri Santi Ganeshotsav and Cultural Committee, Dr Dande Foundation, and Padma Shri Mohammed Rafi Cultural Forum jointly present a Maharashtra Book of Records music marathon at Shikshak Sahakari Bank Sabhagruh, beside Parsi School, Gandhi Nagar, Mahal.
At a recent press conference held at the Press Club of Nagpur, Sanjay Chinchole and Sunil Waghmare shared the concept they developed for this unique event. This year, the programme expands beyond Marathi, featuring 111 songs performed by 111 singers in multiple Indian languages—a first-of-its-kind endeavour.
Previously limited to Marathi, the marathon will now include Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Chhattisgarhi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Rajasthani, and more.
The day-long musical celebration will run from 8 am until late into the night, inviting music enthusiasts to witness this extraordinary feat. Organisers have urged interested singers to register soon, as registrations remain open only until the end of the month.
