The Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) will hold a one-day seminar titled “Bamboo Industries: A Catalyst for Vidarbha’s Growth” on Saturday, 29th November 2025, at 6:00 PM at Tamarind Hall, Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur. The event, led by Project Director and VED Vice-President Shri Pankaj Mahajan, aims to highlight the economic potential of bamboo-based industries in the region.
Hon’ble Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, MoS, Government of Maharashtra, will be the Chief Guest for the seminar. The Guests of Honour include Shri M. Srinivas Rao, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (H.O.F.F.), Nagpur, and Shri P. Kalyan Kumar, Managing Director, Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board.
A strong panel of experts will address the gathering, including Sunil Joshi, Vijay Ilorkar, Swapnil Girade, Dr. Nirupama Sunil Deshpande, Pankaj Gautam, and Vaibhav Kaley.
The seminar will also feature a special session by Shri Deepak Menaria, Founder & Chief Idea Farmer at Lemon Ideas, who will provide key insights for entrepreneurs interested in establishing startups in the bamboo sector. The discussions will explore region-specific strengths, value addition, skill development, and sustainable livelihood creation through bamboo industries.
VED continues to work toward the sustainable and inclusive development of the Vidarbha region through research, policy advocacy, and collaborative initiatives.
