The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched plans for the comprehensive redevelopment of the stretch between LAD Square and Shraddhanandpeth Square. Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari conducted an on-site inspection of the proposed works on Thursday.
Chief Engineer Manoj Talewar, Superintendent Engineer Leena Upadhye, Dharampeth Zone Executive Engineer Manoj Gadre, architect Prasanna Desai, and contractor representatives — including Nurul Haq of Abhi Engineering, Anil Bharti of PMC Creation, and Khan — were present during the inspection, along with other officials and staff.
Dr. Chaudhari began his review at LAD Square, where beautification has been planned on both sides of the road up to Abhyankar Nagar Square. The project will include widening pedestrian pathways, developing a dedicated cycle track, improving parking arrangements, and enhancing the overall aesthetics of the stretch. He also directed officials to reinforce the safety wall of the bridge over the Nag River along this route.
