The Maharashtra State Education Department has announced the commencement of registrations for the special round of FYJC (Class 11) admissions 2025, starting from 2 pm on December 13. The round aims to fill vacant seats across junior colleges in all streams after the completion of earlier Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has opened the CAP portal following revisions to the special round schedule. This round is crucial for students who were unable to secure seats earlier, as well as fresh applicants and those who cleared supplementary or ATKT examinations. The entire admission process will be conducted online via the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in, and candidates have been urged to follow the revised, time-bound schedule carefully.
As per the updated timeline, the vacancy list for FYJC admissions has been released, enabling students to assess seat availability across colleges and streams.
- CAP registration, new applications and Part 1 corrections begin at 2 pm on December 13
- The registration window will remain open until 10 pm on December 14
- The CAP allotment and cut-off list will be declared on December 15 at 6 pm
- Students must confirm their admission between December 16 (8 am) and December 17 (6 pm)
No extensions beyond the announced deadlines have been notified.
The special round is open to several categories of students still seeking Class 11 admission, including those not allotted seats in earlier CAP rounds, first-time applicants, candidates who passed supplementary or ATKT exams, and students requiring corrections in their Part 1 forms. Officials have clarified that participation in this round is compulsory for students aiming to secure vacant seats.
Applicants must complete Part 2 of the application during the special round to be eligible for allotment. Important guidelines include selecting a minimum of 10 junior college preferences, filling choices in order of priority, and updating course or college options within the registration period. Failure to fill preferences correctly may lead to non-allotment.
The allotment results will be accessible through student logins on the admission portal and will also be communicated via SMS. Students who receive seats must complete online confirmation and document submission within the specified timeframe, failing which the allotted seat will be forfeited.
For management and minority quota admissions, separate merit lists will be generated through school logins, with colleges publishing these lists independently.
