The Royal Cricket Association has announced the commencement of its annual Royal Premier Cricket League (RPCL)from January 24, marking the 10th season of the popular tennis-ball cricket tournament.
The matches will be played at the Mecosabagh Methodist School ground in Kadbi Chowk. The tournament is being organised by the Babuji Foundation in collaboration with SS Study Circle, Maharashtra Regional Board of Education (CNI) and Hajiyani Zubeda Abdul Razzak Charitable Trust.
A total of 32 teams will be allowed to participate on a first-cum-first-served basis, with the last date for entries set for January 10. The tournament winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 2.25 lakh, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 1.25 lakh. The Man of the Series will be honoured with an EV bike, along with several other individual awards.
