Chess Association Nagpur starts the District Selection Chess Events for the year 2026 with the announcement of Nagpur District Under-7 and Under-17 Open and Girls Selection Chess Tournaments for selection of Nagpur District chess players who will participate in the Maharastra State Selection Chess Championships in respective age groups.
Nagpur District Under-7 and Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship shall be organised on 11th January 2026 at GH Raisoni College ,6th Floor, Moot Court Hall, Riaan Tower, Mangalwari, Nagpur. The event is being organised by Chess Association Nagpur in association with G.H.Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation and Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation. Trophies and medals shall be distributed to the top players in each group.
Top players shall be selected to represent the Nagpur District in the upcoming State Selection events. Only the entries of players participating in the District selection event shall be forwarded for participation in State Selection Chess Events. Reporting time on 11th January 2026 is 9.00 am and the first round shall start at 9.30 am sharp.
The Chess Association Nagpur has called for participation of all eligible Chess players in selection events.
