Hollywood’s biggest names from film and television came together in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the dazzling 2026 Golden Globes ceremony.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Netflix’s breakout series Adolescence emerged as the biggest winners, taking home four awards each. Despite Anderson’s strong showing, his leading man Leonardo DiCaprio missed out on Best Actor, losing to Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme. One of the evening’s surprises came in the drama acting category, where Brazilian star Wagner Moura won for his performance in the Portuguese-language film The Secret Agent.
This year marked the debut of a new podcast category, with nominees selected from the 25 most-listened-to podcasts. Contenders included Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler and SmartLess. Amy Poehler ultimately won the inaugural award, beating her former husband Will Arnett, one of the hosts of SmartLess.
Comedian Nikki Glaser returned to host the ceremony for the second year in a row, after making history last year as the first solo female host of the Golden Globes. She opened the night with sharp jokes aimed at the A-list audience and broadcaster CBS alike.
