Actors Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur are once again at the centre of relationship rumours, with reports suggesting that the two may tie the knot on Valentine’s Day, February 14, this year.
According to sources, the wedding, if it takes place, will be a low-key and private ceremony attended only by close family members and friends. However, neither Dhanush nor Mrunal has confirmed or denied the reports so far, and the claims remain unverified.
Speculation about their relationship has been circulating for several months. The rumours gained momentum in August 2025 when the duo were seen together at the premiere of Mrunal’s film Son of Sardaar 2. Mrunal’s presence at the wrap party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishq Mein had earlier added to the buzz. Fans have also pointed out that Mrunal follows Dhanush’s sisters, Dr Karthika Karthik and Vimala Geetha, on Instagram.
Earlier reports described the relationship as new and low-profile, claiming that the actors preferred to keep things private while being comfortable appearing together in public. Friends were quoted as saying the two shared similar values and outlooks.
Mrunal Thakur, however, had dismissed the dating rumours last year, stating that Dhanush was “just a good friend”.
Dhanush was previously married to Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth for 18 years. The couple announced their separation in 2022 and share two sons, Yatra and Linga.
