Young entrepreneurs and chef brothers Ajinkya and Vikram Gandhe from Nagpur have made the city proud at the national level by reaching the finals of the prestigious culinary competition MasterChef India. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has praised their remarkable achievement.
Airing on Sony TV, MasterChef India features chefs from across the country, with Ajinkya and Vikram representing the city of Nagpur. They are the sons of educationists Mohan Gandhe and Aparna Gandhe. Thirty-one-year-old Vikram completed his schooling at B. R. A. Mundale School and earned a degree in Commerce from City Premier College. Twenty-nine-year-old Ajinkya completed his schooling at Narayan Vidyalaya and pursued architectural studies at IDEAS, Nagpur.
Without any formal culinary education, the two brothers developed their expertise in baking through passion, consistent practice, self-learning, experimentation, and hands-on experience. They currently run the ‘Place Bakehouse’ café in Nagpur.
The role of a chef is extremely significant in the hospitality sector, and Ajinkya and Vikram have made commendable progress in this field. Extending his best wishes for their future, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari congratulated the duo through a video message.
Through this program, Ajinkya and Vikram are showcasing Maharashtra’s culture and rich culinary heritage to audiences across the country. They are making a conscious effort to present regional flavors, traditional cooking methods, and the essence of Maharashtrian cuisine on this national platform.
