The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, is conducting the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in the district from February 10 to March 18, and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations from February 20 to March 18.
As these are public examinations and considering the sensitivity surrounding them, prohibitory orders have been issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and to prevent malpractices at all examination centres in the rural areas of Nagpur district. The orders have been issued by District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar.
Under these orders, restrictions have been imposed within 100 metres of all examination centres in rural Nagpur district to prevent any law and order issues and examination-related malpractices. Public telephone booths/STD/ISD booths, fax centres, xerox centres, e-mail and internet facilities, laptops, mobile phones, media or any similar communication devices will be required to remain closed within the restricted zone.
Further, as per government directives, the anti-copying campaign must be implemented effectively. Any person found violating these orders will be liable for legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
