Swarali Sangeet Sanstha, Nagpur, will present a special musical programme titled “Manik Moti” on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The programme is based on the popular songs of legendary Marathi Bhavgeet singer Manik Varma, who defined the golden era of Marathi light classical music.
The evening will commence with “SwaraDhara,” a presentation by the institution’s women’s orchestra. The ensemble will feature performances on sitar, violin, harmonium, minor percussion, and tabla by talented women artists.
The sitar ensemble includes Dipali Khirwadkar, Swati Gokhale, Sunita Rajnekar, Hema Pandit, Rohini Pathak, Harshada Hedavu, Harshada Godbole, Mridula Sudame, and Veena Mohod. On violin, Dr. Lata Modak, Ojaswini Dikholekar, Sonali Rajne, and Madhuri Devtale will perform. Harmonium accompaniment will be provided by Padma Sahasrabuddhe and Swati Patwardhan, while Rekha Sane will play minor percussion. Tabla performances will be presented by Sonali Sahasrabuddhe, Mrunmayee Kanetkar, and Adv. Dhanashree Deshpande.
The main vocal presentations under “Manik Moti” will feature Sanika Ruikar, Neha Daptari, Vidya Borkar, Anjali Deshmukh, and Vishakha Mangde. Accompaniment will include Moreshwar Dashasahastra on tabla, Atharva Bhalerao on violin, Govind Gadikar on synthesizer, Sandeep Gurumule on harmonium, and Gajanan Ranade on minor percussion.
The programme will be graced by renowned singer Dr. Sadhana Shiledar and Adv. Dhanashree Deshpande as chief guests. The concept and production of the programme are by Nandini Sahasrabuddhe, Director of the institution, while the event will be compered by Dr. Anjali Paranandiwar.
The programme is open to all with free entry, and music lovers are invited to attend in large numbers and enjoy the melodious tribute.
