At least 19 residents of Nagpur stranded in Gulf countries have sought assistance from the government following disruptions in international flights due to escalating tensions in West Asia. According to district officials, the stranded travellers include eight men and eleven women currently in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Dubai.
Authorities have informed Indian embassies and are working to facilitate their safe return. The Maharashtra government has also launched an emergency WhatsApp helpline to assist citizens in the region, while special flights are being arranged for repatriation. A flight scheduled for March 8 is expected to bring back several passengers from Nagpur.
