The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday, March 6, announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the final merit list on the official website — Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.
According to the commission, the final result has been prepared based on candidates’ performance in the written examination as well as the Personality Test (Interview).
The result has been released in a PDF format containing the names and roll numbers of candidates recommended for appointment to various civil services across the country. Candidates can access the merit list on the UPSC website.
The Civil Services Examination is regarded as one of the toughest competitive examinations in the world. Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam, but only a small fraction make it to the final list after successfully clearing three stages — the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and the Personality Test.
Steps to Check UPSC CSE Final Result 2025
- Visit the official website — upsc.gov.in
- Click on the “Examination” tab on the homepage
- Select “Active Examinations” or check the “What’s New” section
- Click on the link for Civil Services Examination Final Result 2025
- A PDF file containing the merit list will open
- Use Ctrl + F and enter your roll number or name to find your result
UPSC has also stated that the marksheets of all candidates will be uploaded on the commission’s website within 15 days of the declaration of the final result. The marks will remain available online for 30 days for candidates to download.
