On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a group dance-drama competition for senior women based on the theme “Matrutva aani Kartutva Swamini: Tula Pranam” was enthusiastically organized on Friday by Jyeshtha Nagrik Pratishthan, Nagpur in association with Teli Samaj Sabha. The event was held at Santaji Auditorium, Budhwar Bazar, where ten senior citizens’ women’s groups from across the city participated with great enthusiasm.
The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Urmila Dabir, Principal of Prerna College, and Dr. Aishwarya Vishwaroop, Physiotherapist. On this occasion, the judges of the competition Sujata Nagpure and Nikita Dhakulkar, along with Dr. Shubha Mishra, trustees of Jyeshtha Nagrik Pratishthan Dr. Sanjay Ugemuge and Ashok Mankar, National Secretary Dr. Raju Mishra, Suresh Sathawane, Nanabhau Dhage, and Haribhau Kirmape were present on the dais.
Principal Dr. Urmila Dabir appreciated the efforts of Jyeshtha Nagrik Pratishthan for organizing holistic activities for senior women ranging from health to entertainment. Dr. Aishwarya Vishwaroop extended her best wishes for the initiative. Subsequently, women from Jivhala Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal (Suyog Nagar), Snehbandh Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal, Sant Shri Gajanan Bhajan Mandal (Bedipeth), Suprabhat Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal (Deendayal Nagar), Sant Gajanan Mahila Bhajan Mandal (Bhagyashree Nagar), Navdurga Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal (Kharbi Road), Shri Swami Samarth Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal (Manish Nagar), Sangharsh Mahila Mandal, Chhatrapati Nagar Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal, and Rani Jhansi Mahila Mandal presented impressive group dance-dramas.
In the introductory address, Mangala Gavande shared information about the activities of the Pratishthan. The program was compered by Madhuri Pakhmode and Vandana Warke, while Kalindi Dhumne and Kiran Tai delivered the vote of thanks.
