The Indian knowledge tradition has been focused on public welfare and social awareness since ancient times. The contemporary principles of Indian knowledge tradition have always been at the core of the progress and development of society. From the Vedas and Upanishads to modern subjects, journalism and public relations have played an important role in establishing their popular and widespread form.
These views were expressed by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at a dignified program held at his residence on the occasion of the release of the book “Indian Knowledge Tradition, Journalism and Public Relations” written by Neeraj Omprakash Srivastava, editor of the magazine Power of One. At the book release ceremony, which was conducted by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, renowned writer and litterateur Girish Pankaj from Raipur, who was specially present, said that public awareness of cultural consciousness through the media is essential. He added that the important issues of knowledge tradition and social harmony highlighted in this book are very necessary in the present time. Speaking about his book “Indian Knowledge Tradition, Journalism and Public Relations,” author Neeraj Omprakash Srivastava said that the objective of the book is to understand the interrelationship between Indian knowledge tradition and modern journalism and public relations. It also aims to explain how India’s tradition of dialogue and communication has guided the basic structure of modern communication media. Present at the event were the publisher of the book, Avinash Bagde, head of Avisha Prakashan; literary enthusiast Narendra Parihar; the author’s wife Shweta Srivastava; Engg. Harshvardhan Srivastava; Adv. Harshita Srivastava; assistant editor of the publication group Bhavana Navale; and technical associate Narendra Dharmik.
In his remarks about the book, Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi, former Director General of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, wrote that the book is expected to play an important role in highlighting the bright pages of India’s communication and dialogue tradition. On the occasion of the publication of the book, many friends and well-wishers extended their greetings. Prominent among them were Dr. Sagar Khadiwala, Dr. Manoj Pandey (Head of the Hindi Department), Neeraj Vyas, Anil Malokar, Ajit Ramteke, and Dr. Aseem Parate.
