The summer heat has started intensifying across the Vidarbha region as several cities recorded temperatures around or above 40°C on Friday. The scorching sun and dry weather conditions made it difficult for people to move outdoors during the afternoon hours.
According to the latest weather observations, Amravati recorded the highest temperature at 41.8°C, followed by Akola at 41.5°C and Brahmpuri at 41.4°C. Chandrapur recorded exactly 40°C.
Meanwhile, Wardha registered 40.6°C, Washim 40.5°C and Yavatmal 40.4°C. In total, seven cities reported temperatures of 40°C or higher, indicating the growing intensity of heat across the region.
Other cities such as Nagpur, Buldana, Gondia and Gadchiroli also experienced high temperatures ranging between 38°C and 39°C, contributing to the overall hot conditions in Vidarbha.
People are advised to avoid going out during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat.
