Demonstrating its strong commitment to environmental responsibility and community-driven initiatives, NTPC Limited has achieved a noteworthy milestone at its NTPC Mouda project by declaring the township “Litter-Free” under the Mission Pariskar campaign.
The initiative reflects NTPC’s continued focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals while encouraging active participation from employees and township residents in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
To implement the campaign effectively, the NTPC Mouda Township was strategically divided into 24 zones, each managed by dedicated committees comprising employees and their family members. These committees played a significant role in maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas by organising regular cleanliness drives and encouraging responsible waste disposal practices across the township.
Acknowledging the sustained efforts and collective commitment of the community, Shri Joseph Bastian, Head of Project, NTPC Mouda, officially declared all 24 zones of the township litter-free on 8.03.2026. The announcement marked a significant milestone for the Mission Pariskar initiative and highlighted the power of community participation in achieving environmental goals.
This achievement highlights NTPC Mouda’s dedication to environmental stewardship and its vision of creating a healthier and more sustainable living environment. Through awareness campaigns and consistent community engagement, the initiative has fostered a culture of cleanliness and responsibility among residents.
Officials believe that initiatives such as Mission Pariskar not only enhance the quality of life within the township but also strengthen NTPC’s broader ESG objectives by promoting sustainable practices and environmental accountability.
With continued awareness programmes and active participation from employees and residents, NTPC Mouda aims to further reinforce its commitment to sustainability while setting an example of responsible community living.
