The women’s Taekwondo team of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University has been announced. The team will represent the university at the All India Inter‑University Taekwondo Championship scheduled to be held from March 15 to March 20, 2026 at Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha.
The selected players include Komal Buradkar, Purva Gire, Mahi Sharma, Vidhi Dewangan, Tia Awale, Vijaya Meshram, Simran Phule, Astha Tomar, Shimon Baladhare, Sejal Parteki, Janvi Tichkule, Kritika Mane, Vaishnavi Mankar, Ishita Fender and Nihal Rajput.
Bharti Kanoje has been appointed as the team manager, while the squad will be coached by Narayan Waghade.
Vice-Chancellor Manali Kshirsagar, Registrar Raju Hivse, Officiating Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education Sambhaji Bhosale, along with Vivek Avasare, Sanjay Chaudhary, Sarang Khadse and Santosh Chaudhary, have congratulated the selected players and wished them success in the upcoming championship.
