The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) and the Congress party on Monday jointly announced a protest march towards the RSS headquarters over the alleged ‘Epstein files’ issue. However, Nagpur Police denied permission for the proposed march citing law and order concerns.
Despite the denial, party workers gathered in large numbers at Samvidhan Square (Constitution Square) to register their protest. Police had deployed heavy security and set up multiple barricades around the area, effectively stopping the protesters from proceeding further towards the RSS headquarters.
VBA leader Prakash Ambedkar and Congress leader Harshvardhan Sapkal addressed the gathering at the square, strongly criticizing the police action and reiterating their stand on the issue. Protesters raised slogans and expressed dissent, while the situation remained under control amid tight police presence.
