The Nagpur City Police have issued a detailed traffic diversion plan in view of the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra scheduled on March 26, 2026. The diversions will be enforced along major routes in the city to ensure smooth movement of the Shobha Yatra and maintain public safety.
As per the advisory, traffic on several key roads will be restricted at different time intervals, and citizens have been urged to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
Between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, traffic from Ramjhula towards Gandhi Putla Chowk will be diverted via Jhansi Rani Chowk, Cotton Market and Agrasen Chowk.
From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, vehicles moving between Gandhi Putla Chowk and Mahal Chowk will be rerouted via Dadsaheb Chowk, Loha Pul, Jhenda Chowk and Agrasen Chowk.
Further, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, traffic from Mahal Chowk towards Tink Pulia will be diverted via CP & Berar College.
Between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, vehicles traveling from Tink Pulia to Cotton Market Chowk will be diverted through Model Mill Chowk, Jawahar Chowk, North Ambazari Road and nearby routes.
From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, traffic between Cotton Market Chowk and Jhansi Rani Chowk will be diverted via North Ambazari Road, Sitabuldi and connecting roads.
Lastly, from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, traffic from Jhansi Rani Chowk towards Manas Chowk will be diverted via Laxmi Bhavan Chowk, Maharajbagh Chowk and Dr. Munje Road.
Nagpur City Police have appealed to citizens to follow traffic instructions, cooperate with authorities and make use of alternate routes. These arrangements have been made to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra.
