The Department of Sports and Physical Education at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has announced its men’s kho-kho team for the upcoming West Zone Inter-University Championship, set to be held in Nanded from April 2 to 5, 2026.
The squad will take on strong contenders from across the region, aiming to display skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship at a high level. The selection underlines the university’s continued focus on promoting traditional Indian sports and nurturing emerging talent.
The team includes Siddhesh Satpute, Rahul Sahare, Chetan Donadkar, Vansh Shende, Aman Sarware, Shantanu Dhargave, Chaitanya Surjuse, Aman Kelwade, Nikesh Nishad, Piyush Rathod, Aditya Mangar, Darshak Tangde, Devang Kale, Harshal Vike, and Sahil Lonkar. Reserves are Yashwant Shinganapure, Himanshu Waghade, Pranay Charge, Maroti Kudayami, and Rupesh Shende.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar extended her best wishes, urging the players to perform with dedication and uphold the university’s reputation. Director of Sports Dr Sambhaji Bhosale also congratulated the team and expressed confidence in their performance.
The squad will be coached by Dr Sanjay Chaudhary, with Rajeshwar Monwade serving as team manager. The university community has rallied behind the team, expressing optimism about a strong showing in the tournament.
