Nagpur Division of Central Railway is undertaking important infrastructure upgradation works to enhance passenger amenities and overall station facilities at Nagpur Railway Station. In this connection, Platform No. 2 at Nagpur Station will remain closed from 08 April 2026 to 29 May 2026 (52 days) for execution of works by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA).
The work is being carried out in coordination with the Non-Interlocking (NI) work at Gondia Station of South East Central Railway, scheduled from 04 April 2026, by utilizing the shadow block period to ensure safe and efficient execution with minimal disruption to train operations.
During this period, Platform No. 3 will remain operational for handling train movements.
Major Operational Changes
1. Cancellation
No trains will be cancelled during the block period.
2. Short Termination
- Train No. 01140 Madgaon – Nagpur Special (Thursday, Sunday)
will be short-terminated at Ajni from 09.04.2026 to 28.05.2026.
3. Short Origination
- Train No. 01139 Nagpur – Madgaon Special (Wednesday, Saturday)
will originate from Ajni instead of Nagpur from 08.04.2026 to 27.05.2026.
4. Diversion of Trains
The following trains will be diverted via an alternate route:
- Train No. 07075 / 07076 Hyderabad – Gorakhpur / Gorakhpur – Hyderabad
- Train No. 05073 / 05074 KSR Bengaluru – Lal Kuan / Lal Kuan – KSR Bengaluru Special
- Train No. 06509 / 06510 KSR Bengaluru – Danapur / Danapur – KSR Bengaluru Special
➤ These trains will be diverted via Wardha – Badnera – Chandur Bazar – Narkher – Itarsi route (and vice versa).
5. Regulation of Trains
The following trains will be regulated en route by approximately 10 minutes to 2 hours due to operational constraints:
- Train No. 22614 Ayodhya Cantt. – Rameswaram Express
- Train No. 12670 Chhapra – MGR Chennai Central Express
- Train No. 18030 / 12102 Shalimar – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express
- Train No. 22906 Shalimar – Okha Express
- Train No. 12906 Shalimar – Porbandar Express
Passenger Advisory
All possible efforts have been made to minimize inconvenience to passengers and reduce disruption to train services.
- Additional staff will be deployed on Platform No. 3 to assist passengers.
- Passengers are advised to check platform numbers in advance through official railway sources.
- Only passengers with valid tickets are requested to approach Platform No. 3 to avoid overcrowding.
