Sony SAB’s show Yaadein premieres6th April, airing Monday to Saturday at 8:00 PM, bringing
forth a layered and emotional narrative that goes beyond a medical drama. Adapted from the
popular Italian series DOC, the show traces the journey of Dr. Dev Mehta (Iqbal Khan), alongside
his ex-wife Srishti (Gulki Joshi) and resident doctor Vaani (Srishty Singh), each navigating their
own emotional battles while dealing with the demands of their profession and personal lives.
On World Health Day, the cast shares what it really means to live a healthy life, physically,
mentally, and emotionally. In today’s fast-paced life, it’s easy to forget how closely our body,
mind, and emotions are connected. Yaadein brings this idea to life, reminding us that true
wellbeing is about taking care of every part of ourselves. Through its characters, the show shows
that when we look after our overall health, we are better prepared to handle life’s challenges and
enjoy its happy moments.
Speaking about this, Iqbal Khan shared, “Playing Dr. Dev made me reflect on how unpredictable
life can be and how sometimes, you are forced to rebuild everything you once knew. But beyond
the character, it also made me think about how we treat our bodies and minds during those
uncertain moments. We often push through without pausing to check in with ourselves,
physically or otherwise. I have come to realise that rest is not laziness, movement is not just
fitness, and taking care of your body is often the first step towards feeling more like yourself
again. This World Health Day, I truly feel that looking after yourself, in every sense, is one of the
most important things we can do.”
Speaking about this, Gulki Joshi shared, “I think we have all had moments where we have felt
stretched thin and still carried on because life does not pause. Over time, I have understood that
constantly pushing yourself without acknowledging what your body and heart are telling you can
quietly wear you down. It is important to create space for yourself, to pause, to eat well, to move,
to laugh, and not be too hard on yourself when things feel heavy. Well-being is not just about
staying positive all the time. It is also about listening to yourself honestly and understanding that
every part of you deserves care.”
Speaking about this, Srishti Singh shared, “I have learnt that how you treat yourself on an
ordinary day matters just as much as how you cope on a difficult one. Whether it is getting
enough sleep, staying connected with people who ground you, or simply allowing yourself a
moment of stillness in the middle of a busy day, these things add up. This World Health Day, I
hope people remind themselves that taking care of themselves is not selfish. It is necessary, and
it is something each one of us deserves.”
