To avoid potential technical failures during the summer season, MSEDCL will undertake maintenance of power lines, repairs, and pruning of tree branches in various parts of the city on Wednesday, April 8. Due to this urgent work, the power supply in many parts of Nagpur will remain shut for a few hours in the morning, and consumers are appealed to cooperate with MSEDCL during this period.
In the Congress Nagar division, considering the nature of the work, power supply will remain interrupted in various groups. Between 9 AM and 12 PM, there will be no power in Nelco Society, Sumit Nagar, Adhyapak Layout, Azad Hind Nagar, Takli Sim Water Tank area, and LIG-MIG Colony. Between 8 AM and 11 AM, the power supply will be closed in Jai Badrinath Society, Raut Wadi, Lokseva Nagar, Manish Layout, Gayatri Nagar, Parsodi, and the Hanuman Temple area. Additionally, maintenance work will take place in Swavalambi Nagar, Deendayal Nagar (8:30 AM to 12 PM), and Jaiprakash Nagar, Sita Nagar, and the Mahalakshmi Temple area (8 AM to 12 PM). Power supply will be interrupted in Mahajan Market and Ayurvedic Market from 8 AM to 10 AM, while in the Eternity Mall, VIP Road, Kachipura, and Central Mall areas, it will be from 7 AM to 10 AM.
Under the Mahal division, power supply will remain closed in Omkar Nagar, Jaywant Nagar, Sai Nagar, and Gajanan Nagar areas from 9 AM to 1 PM. Technical work will be carried out in Ayodhya Nagar, Uday Nagar Chowk, and the Sai Temple area from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and in the Medical Chowk, Rambagh Colony, Jattarodi, and T.B. Ward areas from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. Therefore, the power supply in these areas will remain interrupted.
In the Butibori division, power will be off in Kachimet, Shantinagar, and Sant Jagnade Nagar areas from 7 AM to 12 PM. The power supply for industrial consumers under the MIDC substation, including large industries like Reliance Cement and Ishaan Casting, will be shut down from 10 AM onwards.
To ensure that consumers do not face trouble due to technical faults during the summer days, it is mandatory to install new AB switches and perform transformer maintenance. MSEDCL has expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused by this planned work and has appealed to citizens to cooperate.
