Maintenance, repairs, and safety works are being undertaken by MSEDCL under the Mahal and Civil Lines divisions to strengthen the power system and ensure a smooth power supply during the summer. Due to these important works, the power supply will remain temporarily suspended in some parts of the Mahal and Civil Lines divisions tomorrow, Thursday, April 9, 2026.
Under these works, the installation of a new A.B. switch, jumpering, and trimming of tree branches will be completed on the 11 KV Mahalgav feeder in the Mahal division. Additionally, essential maintenance and repair works will be carried out on the 11 KV Ganeshnagar and 11 KV Pallotti feeders. Consequently, the power supply will be shut down from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM in areas including Ghar Sansar Society, Panther Nagar, Sangharsh Nagar Chowk, Devi Nagar, Suraj Nagar, New Suraj Nagar, Pawanshakti Nagar, Bhandewadi area, Dharti Maa Society, Antuji Nagar, Abbumiya Nagar, Tulsi Nagar, and Shailesh Nagar. Furthermore, the power supply will remain closed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM in areas under the 11 KV Ganeshnagar feeder, namely Ganeshnagar, Sharda Chowk, Mahavir Nagar, Anand Nagar, Bhagat Colony, Old Shukrawari, Mali Pura, and Teli Pura.
In the Civil Lines division, the power supply will be suspended from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for areas under the 11 KV Pallotti feeder, including Anant Nagar, Mahesh Nagar, Kotwal Donga, Rathod Layout, Geeta Society, New Ahbab Colony, Arafat Colony, Suraj Nagar, and Pallotti Nagar.
These works are mandatory to make the power distribution system more efficient and secure. Citizens in the concerned areas are requested to plan their daily activities accordingly during this period. MSEDCL administration has launched this campaign to keep the power supply smooth and to provide uninterrupted service to consumers. MSEDCL has appealed to power consumers to cooperate during these technical works.
