Considering the additional passenger rush during the summer season, South East Central Railway is operating a summer special train for the convenience of passengers. Train No. 08871/08872 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari–Malda Town–Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari) will run for a total of three trips in each direction on specified dates.

It will depart from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari at 00:30 hrs and arrive at Malda Town at 08:00 hrs, with halts at Gondia 03:00/03:05, Dongargarh 05:13/05:15, Rajnandgaon 05:45/05:47, Durg 06:30/06:35, Raipur 07:50/07:55, Bilaspur 10:15/10:25, Raigarh 12:40/12:42, Jharsuguda 14:15/14:17, Rourkela 15:40/15:45, Chakradharpur 17:55/17:57, Tatanagar Junction 19:05/19:10, Kharagpur Junction 21:20/21:25, Andul 23:10/23:15, Dankuni 00:23/00:25, Bardhaman Junction 01:17/01:20, Bolpur (Shantiniketan) 02:35/02:37, Rampurhat Junction 03:25/03:30 and New Farakka Junction 06:33/06:35.
👉 In the return direction, Train No. 08872 (Malda Town–Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari) Summer Special will run on 20.04.2026, 21.04.2026 and 27.04.2026. It will depart from Malda Town at 12:55 hrs and arrive at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari at 17:00 hrs, halting at New Farakka Junction 13:27/13:29, Rampurhat 15:15/15:20, Bolpur (Shantiniketan) 16:08/16:10, Bardhaman Junction 17:11/17:14, Dankuni 18:30/18:32, Andul 21:08/21:13, Kharagpur 22:40/22:45, Tatanagar Junction 00:55/01:00, Chakradharpur 01:58/02:00, Rourkela 03:30/03:35, Jharsuguda 05:10/05:12, Raigarh 06:20/06:22, Bilaspur 09:20/09:30, Raipur 11:05/11:10, Durg 12:10/12:15, Rajnandgaon 12:36/12:38, Dongargarh 13:05/13:07 and Gondia 14:10/14:15.
Coach composition: 2 Divyang-friendly cum Guard coaches, 4 General coaches, 10 Sleeper coaches, and 4 Third AC coaches, totalling 20 ICF coaches.
