After the Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR), the Melghat Tiger Reserve (MTR) has also announced its schedule for the annual Nisarg Anubhav 2026, to be held during the waterhole census on May 1–2, 2026. A total of 261 nature enthusiasts will be allowed to participate through an online selection process.The application process will begin on April 15 at 11 am and close on April 17 at 5 pm.
Interested participants, aged between 18 and 60 years, must apply individually via a Google Form. A non-refundable fee of ₹200 per application is mandatory.Selected candidates will be informed via email and must pay the participation fee online by April 22 to confirm their slot. Submission of a signed indemnity bond is also compulsory.The programme will be conducted across multiple forest divisions.
The participation fee is ₹3,500 per person for Melghat Tiger Reserve areas, including Sipna, Gugamal, Akot, and the Melghat Wildlife Division. For the Pandharkawada Wildlife Division (Tipeshwar and Painganga sanctuaries), the fee is ₹4,000, while for the Akola Wildlife Division (Dnyanganga, Katepurna, and Karanja Sohol sanctuaries), it is ₹2,000 per person.
Machan allotment will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, with one participant assigned per machan along with forest staff. The final selection and allocation will be decided by the reserve administration and will be binding.
Participants will be provided with packed dinner on May 1 and breakfast on May 2, along with drinking water during the programme.
