Senior Inspector Baliram Sutar, Assistant Police Inspectors Yogesh Ghare and Vijay Rane, along with six constables attached to the Cybercrime Police Station, have been suspended over allegations of negligence that allegedly allowed cyber fraudsters to evade action.
Police Commissioner Ravinder Singal issued the suspension orders on Monday after a detailed internal investigation. Sources said Singal had earlier directed a DCP-rank officer to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
