“Swarchandrika,” a special musical program paying a melodious tribute to Padma Vibhushan Asha Bhosle, was enthusiastically organized by Antarnad at Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Auditorium, Persistent Systems. Dedicated to the evergreen songs of Asha Bhosle, the event received an overwhelming response from music lovers.
The concept and anchoring of the program were by Gayatri Harish Modak, while the music arrangement was done by Aary Purankar. Singers Manjiri Vaidya, Lakshyati Kajalkar Bhusari, Sonali Dixit, and Mukul Pande enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of Asha Bhosle’s timeless songs. Performances of songs such as “Piya Bawari,” “Aao Huzoor,” “Dil Cheez Kya Hai,” “Kajra Mohabbat Wala,” “Yuvati Mana,” “Jivalaga Kadhi Re Yeshil Tu,” and “Isharon Isharon Mein” received special appreciation from the audience. Shivlal Yadav, Manoj Chiragle, Subhash Wankhede, Aary Purankar, Pramod Bawne, Atharva Shesh, and Vikram Joshi provided impressive musical accompaniment.
Through her engaging narration, Gayatri Modak beautifully unfolded the inspiring journey, struggles, and immense success of Asha Bhosle. Her emotional and eloquent presentation was especially appreciated by the audience.
