The Ex-Servicemen Boys’ Hostel has a capacity of 54 students, while the Ex-Servicemen Girls’ Hostel can accommodate 70 students. Children of serving and retired defence personnel studying in educational institutions in Nagpur are eligible for accommodation and meals at concessional rates, while children of widows of ex-servicemen are provided free lodging and food facilities.
Students from families of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, or widows of ex-servicemen who wish to take admission to these hostels should collect the admission form and information booklet, available for Rs 50, from the Ex-Servicemen Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels near Hislop College, Civil Lines, Nagpur (Telephone Numbers: 0712-2564994 and 0712-2542226). The completed application form, along with photocopies of the ex-serviceman identity card, mark sheet, and proof of admission from the educational institution, must be submitted to the respective hostel by June 30, 2026, District Sainik Welfare Officer Major Anand Patharkar has appealed.
