Panic gripped the Bhande Plot Chowk area late Wednesday night after a group of unidentified miscreants allegedly indulged in stone pelting around 1:30 am, damaging several parked vehicles in the locality.
According to local residents, stones were hurled at multiple cars parked near residential and roadside areas, causing damage to windshields and windows. The incident created fear among residents, many of whom rushed outside after hearing loud noises during the night.
No injuries were reported in the incident. However, residents have demanded strict action against the anti-social elements involved and increased police patrolling in the area during late-night hours.
Police are expected to examine CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the accused and investigate the motive behind the vandalism.
