In a major operation, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a man from Nagpur for allegedly planting a bomb at Usha Kiran Hospital in Pune.
The accused has been identified as Shivaji Rathod. According to sources, the ATS team is expected to bring the accused to Pune for further investigation and interrogation.
Officials said the accused had allegedly planted the explosive device inside the premises of Usha Kiran Hospital. However, the motive behind the act is yet to be established and is likely to emerge during questioning.
The Maharashtra ATS is carrying out further investigation into the case.
