Nagpur witnessed marginal relief from the intense heat on Thursday as the city’s maximum temperature dipped slightly to 45.7 degrees Celsius, according to the latest weather observations for Vidarbha. Despite the minor fall of 0.3 degree in the last 24 hours, temperatures remained significantly above normal, keeping heatwave conditions active across the region.
While Nagpur recorded 45.7°C, several districts in Vidarbha continued to reel under extreme heat. Brahmapuri emerged as the hottest place in the region at 47.2°C, followed by Wardha at 47°C, Chandrapur and Amravati at 46.4°C each, and Gadchiroli at 46°C.
The weather data also showed relatively low humidity levels during afternoon hours in Nagpur, adding to discomfort for residents. No rainfall was recorded in Nagpur or other Vidarbha districts during the observation period.
The slight dip in Nagpur’s temperature has brought some temporary relief to citizens, however meteorologists have indicated that severe heat conditions are likely to persist across Vidarbha over the next few days.
