Fuel prices witnessed a sharp hike in Nagpur on Monday, adding to the burden on commuters and transporters amid rising inflation concerns. Petrol prices in the city increased by ₹2.10 per litre, while diesel became costlier by ₹2.81 per litre overnight.
As per the revised rates, petrol is now being sold at ₹111.07 per litre, compared to ₹108.97 per litre on the previous day. Similarly, diesel prices climbed to ₹98.39 per litre from ₹95.58 per litre.
The sudden increase is expected to impact daily commuters, public transportation, and logistics costs across the city. Citizens have expressed concern over the continuous rise in fuel prices, especially during the ongoing summer season and increasing cost of living.
