Vidarbha witnessed another punishing day under an unrelenting heatwave as temperatures across the region stayed firmly above the 44-degree mark, intensifying discomfort and pushing daily life into slow motion. Brahmapuri emerged as the hottest spot at 46.6°C, while Nagpur recorded 45.7°C. The scorching conditions continued to grip Amravati and Wardha as both cities registered 45.0°C.
A widespread surge in temperatures was reported across almost every district of the region. Gondia touched 45.2°C, Bhandara and Chandrapur recorded 44.8°C, while Gadchiroli stood at 44.6°C. Akola registered 44.3°C and Yavatmal 44.0°C, whereas Washim and Buldana recorded 43.2°C and 41.3°C respectively. The intense dry heat, coupled with hot winds sweeping through the region, made outdoor conditions extremely exhausting during the afternoon hours.
