Student representatives from Dr. Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi, have strongly urged the management to retain Dr. Deepa Panhekar as the institution’s Principal. Citing her visionary leadership, strict discipline, and unwavering commitment to student welfare, the student delegation met and submitted a formal memorandum to Bhadant Arya Nagarjun Surei Sasai, President of the Parampujya Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti, Deekshabhoomi.
The memorandum was jointly presented by Abhishek Bhute, the student representative for the Arts faculty, and Harsh Ganvir, the representative for the Science faculty.
The students highlighted that under Dr. Panhekar’s leadership, the college has undergone a massive transformation, fostering a highly positive academic, administrative, and cultural environment. They emphasized that she is highly capable of steering the institution forward and requested that the responsibility of the Principal’s post remain with her.
According to the memorandum, Dr. Panhekar has introduced several progressive initiatives. Under her guidance, academic operations have become more disciplined and effective. Regular lectures, timely completion of the syllabus, and continuous evaluation of student progress have significantly enhanced the quality of education at the college, creating a thriving academic atmosphere. Furthermore, she has introduced various student-centric initiatives to enhance employability skills alongside comprehensive hands-on training programs.
The students expressed strong confidence that the journey of progress, quality, and value-based education initiated under her guidance will lead the college toward an even more successful and glorious future.
