To cater to rising passenger demand and reduce waiting lists, the Railways has decided to temporarily augment the Vidarbha Express with an additional AC 3-tier coach.
According to railway officials, the extra coach will be attached to Train No. 12105 Mumbai-Gondia Vidarbha Express departing from Mumbai on June 9 and Train No. 12106 Gondia-Mumbai Vidarbha Express leaving Gondia on June 10.
The move comes amid heavy passenger rush and a growing number of waitlisted tickets on the route. Railway authorities said the additional coach will create more berths and help accommodate a larger number of passengers.
Passengers are advised to check their reservation status, as the augmentation may lead to confirmation of some waitlisted tickets.
The temporary increase in capacity is part of the Railways’ efforts to enhance passenger convenience and manage travel demand more effectively during peak periods.
