A minor altercation over spilled tari (spicy curry) at a snack stall in the Bharatwada area under Kalamna Police Station limits turned fatal, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man.The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Bir Singh Sahu (28).
According to police, the dispute began when tari accidentally spilled onto someone’s clothes at a local eatery, leading to an argument between Yogesh and another individual.The confrontation later escalated near a woman’s residence, where both parties continued their verbal altercation. When the woman attempted to intervene and stop the dispute, Yogesh reportedly got into an argument with her as well. As tensions mounted, members of the woman’s family arrived at the spot.
During the heated exchange, the woman’s brother, Shubham Pillare (20), allegedly attacked Yogesh with a sharp weapon, causing serious injuries. Yogesh was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.Kalamna Police have registered a murder case and named six persons, including the main accused Shubham Pillare, in connection with the incident. Further investigation is underway.
