A serious complaint has been filed against two individuals, including an NMC health department employee, for allegedly entering the Babulkheda primary health centre premises late at night with liquor and two women, triggering a confrontation with CRPF personnel posted there.
According to the complaint lodged with police on June 26, the accused — identified as Nilesh Narayan Doke, an NMC health department employee, and a woman — arrived at the health centre around 9:30 pm with liquor and two women. CRPF jawans on duty stopped them from entering. The accused allegedly threatened the jawans and subsequently filed a false complaint against them with police.
CRPF personnel have demanded that CCTV footage from the premises be examined, that the accused employees face departmental action, and that proper security protocols at the health centre be followed. The matter has also raised questions about compliance with CRPF deployment norms at civic health facilities.
NMC’s chief medical officer Dr Deepak Selokar has said the complaint is being taken seriously and an inquiry has been initiated. He added that action will be taken after reviewing CCTV footage and examining whether proper protocols were followed.
