A shocking case of road rage has been reported from Nagpur, where a traffic police constable was allegedly assaulted by a group of 7 to 8 motorcycle riders near the Martin Nagar Bridge in Jaripatka.
According to police, traffic constable Kunal Singh, posted with the MIDC Traffic Police, was travelling with a female friend in the Jaripatka area when an argument broke out with a group of bikers. The altercation soon escalated into a violent assault.
The accused allegedly attacked Singh, damaged his vehicle, and threatened to kill him before fleeing the spot.
The incident occurred near Martin Nagar Bridge under the jurisdiction of the Mankapur Police Station. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused. Further investigation is underway.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over law and order in the city, with questions being raised about public safety when even a serving police personnel can allegedly be attacked in broad daylight.
