The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has commenced the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admissions to first-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) courses, as well as five-year Integrated Master of Engineering and Technology programmes, for the academic year 2026-27.
The online admission process covers government, government-aided, university-managed and unaided private engineering colleges across the state. Candidates can register through the official CET Cell portal from July 2 to July 12 (5 pm).
The document verification and application confirmation process will be held from July 3 to July 13, followed by the publication of the provisional merit list on July 15. Candidates will be able to submit grievances or request corrections between July 16 and July 18, while the final merit list will be released on July 20.
The CET Cell said the schedule for option form filling and CAP seat allotment rounds will be announced separately.
To be eligible under the Maharashtra State quota, candidates must have passed Class XII with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Vocational subjects or any other approved subject. They must secure at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories, EWS and PwD from Maharashtra) and obtain a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2026.
Candidates with valid JEE (Main) 2026 scores are also eligible for admission, with JEE Main merit applicable under the All India quota. Diploma and D.Voc. candidates can also apply, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria.
MBA, MMS CAP registrations open
The CET Cell has also begun the CAP for admission to first-year full-time MBA and MMS programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.
The registration process, which began on July 2, will remain open until July 12. It covers government, government-aided, university-managed and unaided private management institutes across Maharashtra.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the CET Cell’s official portal www.mahacet.org within the stipulated deadline.
