A family was allegedly robbed at knifepoint in the Butibori Police Station limits after asking a biker for directions. The accused reportedly fled with gold jewellery worth approximately ₹1.26 lakh.
According to the information available, Sushant Hazare was travelling with his family by car when they lost their way and sought directions from a motorcycle rider. After guiding them for a short distance, the biker, along with an accomplice, allegedly followed the family’s car, forced it to stop, and robbed them at knifepoint.
The accused reportedly escaped with the wife’s gold chain and mangalsutra, along with other jewellery.In a crucial development, the victim’s daughter reportedly recorded the entire incident on her mobile phone, and the accused’s face is said to be clearly visible in the footage. Despite this, the suspects have not yet been arrested.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to trace the accused.Authorities have also advised citizens to remain cautious while seeking assistance from strangers during travel.
