Nagpur, July 9: Water supply to several parts of North Nagpur will remain affected on Friday morning, July 10, due to an emergency shutdown on the Om Nagar Feeder (Pench-4), the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Orange City Water (OCW) said on Thursday.
According to NMC-OCW, the shutdown has been scheduled to facilitate the replacement of the outlet valve at the AMRUT Nari-2 Elevated Service Reservoir (ESR). As a result, water supply will remain disrupted in areas falling under the Nara, Nari, Jaripatka and Nara NIT command areas.
The affected localities include Om Nagar, Arya Nagar, Nara Wasti, Priti Society, Ekta Colony, Aradhana Colony, Adarsh Colony, Noori Colony, Natraj Society, Alankar Society, Sai Prasad Society, Tawakkal Society, Sant Dnyaneshwar Society, Shiv Krishna Dham Society, Indian Society, Kohinoor Society, Badrinath Society, Shende Nagar, Awale Nagar, Sahyog Nagar, Ramai Nagar, Kapil Nagar, Kamgar Nagar, Nalanda Nagar, KGN Swarna Nagar, Kashi Nagar, Takshashila Nagar, Nari Gaon, Rajgruh Nagar, Mayur Nagar, Samarth Nagar, Babadeep Singh Nagar, Bank Colony, Sanyal Nagar, Utkarsh Society, Bhim Square, Hudco Colony, Nagarjuna Colony, Kasturba Nagar, Kukreja Nagar, Martin Nagar, Vishvas Nagar, Khushi Nagar, LIG Colony, MIG Colony, Sugat Nagar, Kabir Nagar, Dixit Nagar, Chaitanya Nagar, Manav Nagar, Lahanuji Nagar, CMPDI Road, Indira Nagar, Angulimal Nagar, KK Nagar, Ahuja Nagar, Jagrut Nagar, Nara Ghat area, Bal Vasti Gruha, Panjara area, Vishwa Bharti Society, Shabina Society, Eros Society, Reliance Society, Umang College area, Samta Nagar and Gangotri Lawn.
NMC-OCW has appealed to residents in the affected areas to cooperate with the authorities and use water judiciously during the period of disruption.
