Team Yamuna emerged champions in the fourth edition of the women’s open cricket tournament, Dil Bole Hadippa Season 4, organised by Dr Chhabi Chandak at DNC Ground, Dhantoli.The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from women’s teams across the city, reflecting the growing popularity of women’s cricket and showcasing impressive talent, sportsmanship and competitive spirit.After the league stage, Team Yamuna, Team Nagpur Royal Challengers, Team Red Riders and Team Black Mamba advanced to the semi-finals.
In a thrilling first semi-final, Team Yamuna edged past Team Nagpur Royal Challengers in a Super Over. Smita Mohankar smashed 14 runs off six balls in the tie-breaker, while the Challengers managed only six runs in reply. Ranjana Singhanpure was named Player of the Match.
Team Red Riders defeated Team Black Mamba in the second semi-final, with Sonal Renghe earning the Player of the Match award for her all-round performance.Batting first in the final, Team Red Riders scored 57 for 4 in eight overs. Team Yamuna chased down the target comfortably, finishing at 58 for 2 to claim the title. Dr Bhakti Bhatnagar was named Player of the Final for her match-winning performance.
The tournament was successfully organised with the support of Purushottam Malu, Anand, Smita Bharut, Nikita Kothari, Sheila, Priya Chandak, Neeraj Maheshwari, Ankita Mundra, Neelam Dassani, Lalita Kothari, Yash Kabra, Tarun Patel, Dewin Kothari and other volunteers.
