The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has once again extended the deadline for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) registration for undergraduate professional courses, giving aspirants additional time to complete the admission formalities for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates seeking admission to BBA, BMS, BBM, Integrated MBA, BCA and Integrated MCA programmes can now submit their online applications until 5 pm on July 26.
According to the CET Cell, the extension aims to ensure that all eligible candidates get an opportunity to participate in the admission process. The response has been encouraging this year, with 54,726 registrations recorded so far, significantly higher than last year’s 44,488 applications.
Among the total applicants, 32,763 students have registered for BBA, BMS, BBM and Integrated MBA courses, while 21,963 have applied for BCA and Integrated MCA programmes. The CET Cell has urged all candidates who appeared for the entrance examinations held in April 2026 to complete their CAP registration before the revised deadline.
PCM and PCB students eligible
In a major policy decision taken by Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, students from both PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) streams are now eligible to seek admission to BBA, BMS, BBM and BCA courses. Eligible candidates who appeared for the 2026 PCM or PCB CET have also been asked to complete the CAP registration process.
Document verification options
Candidates are required to upload all necessary documents while filling out the online application form. They can choose either E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny for document verification. Those opting for E-Scrutiny will have their documents verified online and will not be required to visit a facilitation centre.
Revised admission schedule
- Online registration and document upload: July 6 to July 26 (till 5 pm)
- Application verification and confirmation: July 7 to July 27
- Provisional merit list: July 29
- Grievance submission: July 30 to August 1

The CET for these programmes was conducted between April 28 and April 30, with 62,301 candidates appearing for the examination. The results were announced on June 11. Students have been advised to regularly check the CET Cell’s official website for further updates regarding the admission process.
